There are hundreds of product marketing templates out there.
And they can save you a ton of time.
But the most important thing to remember when using them.
Make it your own.
While most of the concepts in product marketing remain the same across every company, you’ll always find something unique to your business that requires some adjustment to make a template work for you.
And that’s totally fine.
Use it.
Take what works.
Adjust it to work best for your business.
Throw away the rest.

Over your career, you’ll end up with your own spin on messaging and positioning documents, launch plans, charters, decision memos, one-pagers — the whole thing. Tools you can take with you from one company to the next.
And until then, I say seek out the best templates you can find and make them your own.
