If you’re building interactive demos (or considering it)
You should be making a Demo Center
Here’s why 👇
Navattic and Chili Piper just published their second annual study on the state of the B2B buying experience.
📈 In the latest report they saw interactive demo usage increase from 17% → 31% of companies.
But what really stuck out to me is the shift towards demo centers
↳ Last year, 0% of companies had a demo center, now it’s 27.6% 🤯
↳ And the websites with demo centers had about 5x the number of demos.
So, what are demo centers?
It’s an online library of self-guided demos and videos that showcase a company’s software. Each demo is focused on a particular buyer persona, use case, product feature or integration, and It’s usually available right on their website.
Why do I think more companies should offer demo centers?
↳ They offer a self-serve way for buyers to learn about your product
↳ They are huge content resource for sales teams
↳ They put demos in context, by things like use case and buyer persona
↳ Contextual demos give better intent signals
↳ They focus on shorter, more digestible demos
↳ Once you build it, adding new demos is easy
So there it is. Not necessarily a hot take. More like a no brainer.
Buyers want an easy way to see your product and don't want to jump through hoops to get it. Give them what they want and don't overthink it.
